How To Get Potentially Hundreds of Backlinks On MySpace.com

If you haven’t heard about it yet – please take the time to check out http://www.MySpace.com.
It may well be one of the largest collections of ugly websites on the internet. This is because MySpace allows anyone to register for a free account and easily create a personalized website and blog about themselves and begin networking with others who have done the same.
This has become a very popular social networking site among young people – so popular that it now regularly ranks among the top 10 visited sites on the internet, receiving nearly 50% of the traffic that google does on any given day!
It also allows the users who sign up for free accounts to customize their sites with basic html and css – this accounts for some of the very ugly sites.
Furthermore, you can visit others people’s pages within the sites, request that they become your “friendsâ€. If they agree – which by my testing most do, you are then able to post comments to their webpages and send them bulletins and private emails. These can contain html – including links!
This has become a very popular venue for bands to build up a following. The band will build a page on MySpace – including free samples of their music. They will then proceed to build a network of thousands and even tens of thousand of friends within the MySpace network. At any time, they can then post links to their bands main website, and even mass email all their friends about upcoming shows, etc.. Very powerful stuff.
Now, I bet if you think about it for a couple minutes, you could come up with ways other businesses – like your own online business for example – could benefit by creating a MySpace account and developing a large network of ‘friends’ whose pages you could post your link on.
I’ll let you sit on that for a minute…
The trick though, is to be able to build up large networks of ‘friends’ quickly.
There are of course pay services and software available – but some of the problems include:
- They are very expensive.
- Most of the software programs violate MySpace.com’s terms of service and are constantly having to upgrade to avoid detection and to outsmart MySpace.com’s countermeasures.
- You can have your account terminated if you get caught, meaning you wasted your money.
Luckily, there’s a FREE but little known online service that’s allows you to quickly and easily build up a large network of “MySpace†friends once you have an account set up:
It provides an online interface to your MySpace account, plus access to it’s own massive database of other MySpace users who have agreed to become your “MySpace†friends through this service. By combining these two, they’ve created a streamlined and non-policy violating interface for quickly and easily adding hundreds of new “contacts†to your network.
Upsides:
- Both MySpace.com and AutoAdder.com are FREE
- AutoAdder does not appear to violate MySpace.com TOS.
- Quickly add ‘friends’ to your account that you can
communicate with. - Others in the AutoAdder program are more likely to be
doing this for similar reasons as you – so you don’t need to worry as much about any types of complaints.
Downsides:
- Not fully automated – you still have to sit in front of the screen and click a continue button over and over again and occasionally type in a confirmation code from
MySpace.
Tips:
Of course, I’ve tried this service out. After creating a MySpace account (use a keyword phrase related to your main site for your username) I also created an autoadder account and started clicking away.
After a couple hours, I had sent out requests to about 400
other users. Within the next couple of days, over 300 of them confirmed my request – which know means I have over 300 hundred ‘friends’ whose regularly spidered pages I can post my html link on. I can also send them html mailings through the service.
Although the MySpace.com TOS forbids promoting affiliate programs – I didn’t see anything that would prevent me from sending them a link to my webpage with free informative articles about something that might interest them – say IPODS – which also had adsense running on it….
As always, if you’ve got more time than money, never hurts to test it out this FREE method before spending money on automated software or pay-services you will come across that do the same thing.
