When putting ads on your website, you’ve got a lot of options. You can input:
1. AdSense ads,
2. Banners for an affiliate program you want to promote,
3. Text ads that describe the product and give a link,
4. An endorsement of a product you recommend,
5. Opt-in box with a follow-up email series,
6. CB Maximizer,
Or you can implement a multitude of these. But, which ones are the best option for you?
To answer this question, let’s dig deeper into each one:
1. Google AdSense Ads – These ads are literally everywhere. They allow publishers to add some much needed cash to their bottom line without having to sell anything.
These ads are perfect for the small publisher whose readers come from far and wide and have very little in common because the publisher gets paid per click.
But, there’s a problem for most website owners… You only get paid mere cents for every visitor you refer. So, if a publisher has a passionate group of readers, like car enthusiasts, internet marketers, or pet lovers, then he or she is getting paid cents per visitor… when getting dollars is possible!
That’s because these people are much easier to convert to sales for a hot product you promote where you get an affiliate commission for every product you sell. So, instead of earning .10 cents for referring a car enthusiast (and you get nothing if he or she buys) you get a cut of what your visitor buys on the other site…
Which, in the long run, averages into having your visitors worth dollars, instead of pennies. So, let’s look at potentially more profitable alternatives:
2. Banners for affiliate programs you want to promote. Banners can be an effective way to generate some income. The problem is that far too many are ineffective. They fail to generate high enough clickthrough rates, and they often don’t attract the visitor who is most likely to buy on the next page. We’ll talk more about what makes an effective banner ad in the next two lessons.
3. Singular product text ads that describe a product and give your affiliate link. These ads may often be more effective than banner ads to generate income from your website. They allow you to pick the products; they attract the most targeted customer, and you have a lot of flexibility in where you put them. The drawbacks, however, are that you have to manually write, design, and put them in. Sometimes creating an effective one can be difficult.
4. An endorsement of a product you recommend – The most effective way to do this, is to simply write a ecommendation of a product as you would tell a friend. This means you tell what you have truly found valuable about it and at the same time mention any minor drawbacks (and how you’ve overcome them).
5. Opt-in box with a follow-up email series – This may be the most effective way to advertise a product on your site. This is because you not only expose the prospect one single-time to a product, but multiple times, and with as many sales points as you want. The main drawback to this option is that it takes a lot of work, and it can be difficult to write an effective follow-up series of emails.
6. Finally, there’s CB Maximizer. CB Maximizer is a bit like Google AdSense, except with the power and flexibility you need to create winning ads your website visitors want to click on. It gets rid of their resistance to ads (which causes low-clickthrough rates) by blending in with your website to feel like quality content.
It also can constantly give you fresh, spiderable content to boost your free search engine traffic at the same time. If you want to significantly increase your website revenue and stop losing out on the profits your site could be generating, then take CB Maximizer out for a test run today at CBMaximizer.com.
